Paganic 2008

HVPN’s annual picnic will be held on July 13th, 2008 at around 1pm (our monthly Community meeting will be just before this). It will be at the East Greenbush Town Park and there is a fire pit, lake and beach, playground, horseshoes and baseball. Please bring a dish to pass and whatever else you would like so that you can enjoy the day. We will be at the LOWER PAVILION.

Litha

As is recent tradition, Midsummer was held at Claudia & Bob’s home in beautiful Schoharie County. Please enjoy a few pictures from a gorgeous day. The ladies wove flower garlands for the altar, while the men sculpted Lugh the Sun God from hay. We celebrated the longest day of the year with a gorgeous spiral dance & chanting. Handwritten wishes and thoughts were attached to Lugh, and he was sent off to be sacrificed to the fire and onto the Otherworld.

June Community Meeting

The Community Meeting of the Hudson Valley Pagan Network will take place on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at Good Buy Books. Ceremony will begin at 10:30am to be followed by meeting at 11:00am. If you plan to attend the ceremony please be prompt. All are welcome!

Lughnassadh is Coming!!!

Fun and games and a little bit of ritual, gather at 1 on August 10th at Tawasentha Park. We will play at games based (loosely!) on the Irish Games where Tailtu (mother of Lugh) was honored. Possibilities are a three-legged race, pick-up sticks, and a blindfolded hunt followed by a championship round of bocce! Pot luck meals and good conversations to follow.
