Sorry for the last minute notice but due to power outages there is a location change for today’s HVPN Yule Celebration. We will gather at Venture Inward at 6pm. The annual HVPN Yule Celebration will take place on Saturday December 13th at the Community Room of Horizon Ridge Apartments on Horizon View Road off Routes 9&20 in East Greenbush. Gather at 4 pm for general socializing and feast preparations. The potluck feast will take place at six PM - bring feast gear, a dish to share, and beverages. After dinner we will have open mic style entertainment from anyone who would like to participate. The evening will conclude with our infamous and fun Pagan Yule Caroling. Out feast mistress, Donna is keeping track of known feast contributions, so if you know what you’re bringing, please contact her at spiritfox7@yahoo.com. Yes, we have a location!
We have reserved the “Yellow Rocks” pavillion at Thatcher Park for Sunday, September 21. Gather at 1, ritual at 2, feasting to follow. Please bring a dish to pass and feast gear. There is electricity (I believe) and charcoal hibachis and, yes, bathroom facilities!
 Ritual wear encouraged, but not required.
Essential directions are to take Route Route 85 east to 157. The Yellow Rocks pavillion is off of the road to the Green House pavillion.

HVPN Lughnasadh Ritual - Sunday August 10, 2008
Gather at 1, ritual at 2
You are invited to an afternoon ritual, to be followed by enjoying the park, for those who want such things…!
The ritual is being held at Tawasentha Park
(On Western Avenue, go approximately 4 miles west of Crossgates/End of the Northway, go left at the Stewarts onto 146, go about a half mile, turn left into the park)
We will be at the Small Pavilion in the park(this is very important, there is a ‘gatehouse’ and you will need to tell them that you are guests of Lou and HVPN at “The Small Pavilion”
(directions are at the end of this notice)
As always, please bring a dish to share with everyone!
Ritual will be held at 2pm Sunday afternoon, honoring Lugh and his mom
(First Harvest and Multiskilled Sovereignty ! Judicious Land Stewardship! etc!) We gather at 1pm, to meet and greet, and read the ritual handout which will detail the following:
The Lugnasadh HVPN Games! — Three-Legged race, a tabletop competition, a third game being worked on even now!, and the Finals (mythic Bocce Ball with Balor’s Eye…). All will be done in teams of two, and yes the Games are part of the Ritual!
and after ritual, we eat, make merry, and make use of the park facilities such as:
Ball field, volleyball court, kids’ playground, fire pit, charcoal barbecue, and yes there are bathrooms (all this right near the Small Pavilion)
Tennis courts and basketball courts ( a long walk, or a short drive from the Small Pavilion)
It’s just a darn pretty place, speaking of which

There is a clockwise driving loop inside the park - passing the gatehouse, you’ll see a pool area off to the left - the driving loop passes to the right of the pool. Continue and at the bottom of a descent, the Small Pavilion will be to the left. Not long before the Small Pavilion, you’ll see the Large Pavilion on the right. If there is no more parking at the Small Pavilion, continue on the road which will start to climb, and you’ll see a good deal of parking on the right in front of the volleyball court and kids’ playground. And if you drive past there, well, it is a traffic loop, you can continue round the circle and find us again.
